SEO In Flash

Flash creates a lot of problems when doing SEO. An HTML version of your website can be a solution.

Flash looks great! It can inhance a website a great deal if used right. However, flash is a major problem when you are trying to search engine optmize a website.

Basically Flash is mathematically based vector graphic. This means that whatever text you have in the Flash – it is not readable text by Google, but just a lot of numbers. So all this nice looking and “flashy” text is absolutly worthless in SEO terms. Google loves text they can read, but when you put it all in Flash you don’t get any “points” for the text.

One solution we tend to use in Dubai First SEO is having an HTML version of the website. So you can still keep your nice looking flash site and then just have another version which is a lot more search engine friendly. These can easily co-exist!

I guess it is in our logo. You need to aim and shoot. Put aaaall your effort into something focused and don’t just shoot blanks in all directions. It’s like that for online marketing as well and very much the case when you do SEO or SEM.

It’s online so you CAN actually measure pretty much everything on your campaign apart from the obvious but hard to measure branding effect. If you have an e-commerce site it’s very straight forward: You measure your sales and which marketing initiatives that drives which and how many sales. As SEO(Search Engine Optimization) has become more and more popular over the years, the larger the selection of SEO offers has become. It is almost like a jungle out there and a lot of “guaranteed top position rankings”.

I have seen a lot of sites that promise to submit your site to 100.000 directories for as low as US$20, don’t fall for that you probably wont get submitted to any directories of value but rather get SPAM listed on guestbooks etc. and instead of real SEO value, you risk getting penalized or in worst cases banned instead.

If you want real SEO, then you have to pay for it, real white hat SEO takes a lot of time because you have to pay attention to the details, and therefor it can be quite expensive. The benefit of great SEO is also worth the cost, especially because it lasts for a long time and with white hat SEO you dont have the risk of getting your site penalized.

So when you are looking for SEO and you see a offer that seems to be too good to be true, then it probably isn’t.
