What SEO Is Really About

SEO is about telling the search engines what your website is about

SEO is about telling the search engines what your website is about

If you think that SEO is about cheating the search engines you are all wrong. It is not about cheating. SEO is basically about being a lot better of telling them what your website is about.

If you try to cheat for instance by using shadow pages where you show one fake page to the search engines and another to the users then eventually the search engines find out and you risk getting banned from the results completely. So don’t try short cuts – instead focus on making it easy for Google to read your website and easy to navigate. Also use metatags to communicate what is on each page.

My point is that it in general is a lot about your SEO attitude. If you focus on improving the websites “readability” for the search engines you get a lot better and longer lasting SEO results.

Search Engine Optimization is having the power to convey information to your users which eventually benefits your rankings through search engines. People first before machines is somewhat a favorite quote of mine in terms of developing a website.
